7 Benefits of Lime
Plant Lime (Citrus aurantifolia), starting from the leaves, fruit, until the skin has many benefits. Despite the bitter cold and a little acidity, lime has been shown to provide a myriad of health benefits. As well as the lemon juice can be used as a cooking flavoring, made drinks, herbal medicine, and as a mixture of herbs. In addition, lemon juice can also be used to clean rust on metal and dirty skin.

In the lime juice, oil content are flying limonene and linalool. There are also content of flavonoids, such as naringin, poncirin, hesperidine, and rhoifolin. At the ripe fruit content contained synephrine and N-methyltyramine. As there is also vitamin C, B1, and A, as well as calcium, phosphorus, citric acid and iron. There are a few tips given by Dr. Setiawan Dalimartha of Traditional Medicine and Acupuncture Association of Indonesia (HIPTRI) and an herbalist from Bandung, Hj. Sarah Kriswanti, the use of lemon juice as a herbal plant that can help the healing process of the disease, some of which are:


1. Hemorrhoid

10 grams of lime tree roots are cleaned, boiled with 1 liter of water and filtered. Drink 3 times a day while warm.


2. Tonsil

Leather 3 limes cleaned, cut into pieces and boiled with 2 cups of water until the remaining ¾, then filtered. Water was made to rinse and do it 3-4 times a day.


3. Anyang-anyangan

Clean 2 pieces of lemon, and squeeze. Add sugar to taste and 1 cup of warm water. Drink 1 a day.


4. Cough

Clean 1 orange juice, then squeezed. Combine with 1 tablespoon of honey and a pinch of salt. Stir until blended and then filtered. Drink 2-3 times a day. Besides these ways, you can also mix the lime juice with a piece of rock sugar, stirring until blended. Drink 1 a day until healed.


5. Cough with flu

Orange juice contains enough cooking water cut and squeezed. Pour the juice with 60 cc of hot water, then add ½ teaspoon of whiting water and stir until blended. Drink 2 tablespoons 2 times a day.


6. Body Odor

There are 2 ways to eliminate body odor in the armpits, namely:

a. Cut a lemon into 2 sections large enough, then spread thin with betel leaf on the slices. Apply on armpits after a shower, leave for 5 minutes then rinse. How this is done every morning and evening.

b. 10 young lime leaves finely ground, pulverized, and make small pulung like pills. Eating these pills 3 times a day.


7. Kidney Stones

2 whole village squeezed lime juice, then diluted with 2 cups of warm water. Drink after dinner and did for 10 days.
